지오반니 안토니오 카날(Giovanni Antonio Canal(1697년~1768년) 2
이탈리아 베네치아 화가, 판화가.
로코코시대의 풍경화 대가.
화가 베르나르도 카날Bernardo Canal의 아들.
흔히 카날레토CANALETTO라고 더 잘 알려져 있다.
1697년 10월 28일 이탈리아 베니스에서 출생.
본명은 조바니 안토니오 카날.

연극무대의 배경화가인 아버지를 도와 일하며 그림의 기초를 배웠다.

1719년 로마유학 후 1720년 베네치아 화가조합에 등록, .

도시조망화 화가로 유명.
베네치아· 런던 및 기타 명소· 사적 등을 파노라마풍(風)으로 묘사.

빛이나 대기의 미묘한 효과를 절묘하게 포착하여 후대의 풍경화에 영향을 미쳤다.
1768년 4월19일 베네치아에서 사망.
