시어도어 클레멘트 스틸Theodore Clement Steele(1847년1926년) 1
미국 인상파화가. 풍경화가.
1847년 9월 11일 인디애나주 오언에서 출생.
시카고와 신시내티에서 미술 교육을 받음.
1852년 웨이블랜드로 이주.
1868년 대학 졸업.
1870년 Mary Elizabeth Lakin과 결혼. 미시간주 베틀크라크로 이주.
1880년~1885년 독일로 가 뮌헨의 왕립아카데미에서 미술 공부.
1885년 귀국. 미술학교를 설립하고 그림을 가르침.
1889년~1895년 W.포사이스와 함께 학교를 운영.
1907년 브라운 지방에 집과 화실을 마련하고 작업. 

초상화를 잘 그렸음.
1926년 7월 24일 사망.
